Our Commitment

Handy Mike wants every homeowner to be able to read this site and request a quote, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA and check the site against them when we change it.

What Is In Place

A "skip to content" link at the top of every page for keyboard users.
Full keyboard operation of the menu, the quote form, the estimate calculator, and the photo viewer, with focus kept inside open dialogs.
Text and background colors that meet the AA contrast ratio across the site.
Descriptive alternative text on images, and labels on every form field.
Animations that are turned off when your system asks for reduced motion.
Form errors and confirmations announced to screen readers.

Known Limitations

Some customer review images are photographs of the original review; the same text is written out next to them. Third-party pages we link to, such as Thumbtack, are outside our control.

If any part of this site is hard to use, email mikefedorow@gmail.com with the page and what happened. You will get a reply the same day, and we will fix what we can. You can always request a quote by email instead of the form.
